everyone i ask says a gm gave it to them...

This is a special mob (it is possible that the GM uses it as a companion), which is not available to players

You can get it by defeating the desert devourer boss in a event, that happens daily, for more info about the hours the event happens, please look up in forum for the post

You can get it by defeating the desert devourer boss in a event, that happens daily, for more info about the hours the event happens, please look up in forum for the post
That desert devour is impossible to kill alone even with support from gunner,and nomad guard and that desert devour have time limit that if you not quickly kill that beast, he would killed automaticaly and you will get nothing

Distract the boss to any pet safe and calmly kill him with whatever you want
