If you're being swarmed by a lured group of mobs and don't want to have to log out, die or run to another map, try finding terrain that blocks multiple sides of you and creates a chokepoint where only 2-3 mobs can surround you for combat. Many grinding areas have these. As soon as those few surrounding open spots are filled, the rest of the group that's obstructed disappears within seconds and you can finish off the remaining few and get back to work.

Been testing this out and it works great. Just wanted to share, since it's a problem for many.
