Fire axes disappearing

Ive had two fire axes disappear out of my inventory over the past couple days. I had them in my pack before I logged out and upon logging back in they were gone
If you loggout while being attacked or even just "aggroed" by mobs, there is a delay of ~10 seconds before your character effectively dissapears from the game, in that time, mobs or players can attack and kill you, resulting in loosing some loot.
