weak metal?

I have been playing the game for a while (~15 lvls) and it is a really good game thanks!

I have one question, where does one get weak metal (for the nail gun quest)? The only info in the forums suggest scavenging binoculars but I don't want to scavenge my binoculars if another source is possible. Do you have to mine it or sth? Thanks

Disassemble any metal debris or find it when inspecting objects in the world...

Oh, so the quest says "weak metal" and I was thinking there was a separate item with that name but turns out it was "low quality metal".
Cant believe never tried that, heh. Thanks
