Please describe what do you mean with "boot from game", and how/when it did happen

I suppose the following happened:

He was either aggroed by mobs or already fighting mobs, then has experienced unstable internet connection and thus got disconnected.
Being still aggroed or in fight with the mobs, it takes 11 seconds before the real loggout of the character happens, wich made him end up dieing within that time, thus loosing inventory items and 20% exp when he logged back in.

This already happened to several players but seems to be related more on the internet provider/connection quality and/or using weak/outdated devices than the game itself.

My thought exactly, but it's always good to ask for info, in case it's an unexpexted different case.
The 11 seconds online after logout or disconnection can be deadly
