Can't equip LMG

I haven't played in a while so maybe something changed while I was gone, but I unequipped my LMG and now I can't equip it.

Did something change? Were they banned or do I need a perk to use them?

Read the description of the weapon, some time ago a parameter of the required level for using the item was added
