My idea on formula of dropping:
PvM (mob) death
No drop, Only lose XP
PvB (building) death
No drop, Only lose XP
PvP death
Drop chance 30% , lose XP , killer gain some XP
Outlaws have drop chance 50% instead of 30%
Drops
Re: Drops
I hope you do change it. And soon.Aaron wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2017 11:30 am When dying to a npc enemy you loose random amount of items in your backpack and nothing equipped (clothes, armors, weapons)
When dying to a hostile player, you loose all your backpack, and all or half of worn items to the player - he can take it. However I will consider changing it, to don't encourage killing players for loot.
I agree 100% with BlitzCraig's statement; this drop rate is excessive I think and will only promote bad behavior aka player killing for gear; I thought FT was bad when you dropped 1 item; this will cause many headaches, complaints, and eventually, quitting players. I'm already tempted to quit after reading this. And I've worked so hard already, such a shame. But, I was under the impression that drops were not going to be such a big thing in this game.... oh well.

Re: Drops
As info, this has already been adjusted a bit ... now the drop is the same whether you die from hostile or PvP (follows original hostile drop rate)
