Backpack is full bug

I can grind Sadist using my Mann32 weapon.
I can keep shooting them and collect .32 ammunition.
The problem is that after 5 - 10 minutes of going through ammo and picking up ammo, soup, etc. I always eventually get a message saying my inventory is full.
My inventory isn't full though and so I have to sign out and sign back on and then I can pick up loot again.
Gets annoying. Especially when i sign out with a lot of sadist around me and sign in and my skills are deactivated and they all shoot at me at once and take a lot of health away.
Please fix.
